Expanded states of consciousness include non-rational, non-linear experiences that need to be expressed in non-linear ways, such as through the body, movement, metaphorical and symbolic expression, or sound, voice, music, and dance. Somatic interventions can play an essential complementary role in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, psychospiritual development, and integration processes. We can deepen our interconnectedness within our body and the earth's body, which can enhance our well-being, help us unlock our fullest potential, and synthesize new directions for healing and transformation – from egoism to earthism – Birthing an Ancient Future.

In this course, Birthing an Ancient Future - A Ceremony of life, we will explore the work with expanded states of consciousness used for individual, collective, and planetary transformation by bridging ancient wisdom traditions and modern psychedelic interventions. The overarching course framework is rooted in transpersonal transcultural and transgenerational perspectives, focusing on somatic, creative, and ecologicalapproaches in psychedelic interventions.

The course framework is rooted in the concept of interconnectedness, assuming everything is interconnected and impacts each other at a crossroads where ancient wisdom and modern science meet by synthesizing multidisciplinary perspectives, including but not limited to transgenerational trauma-informed, transcultural, indigenous approaches, including plant medicine, spiritual, deep ecology, collective-community-based, creative-intimate approaches, art, dance, and music, intertwined with modern psychedelic science and psychedelic-assisted therapy. We are in a global birthing process of Birthing an Ancient Future – Temple of the Peoples - to create a new planetary harmony by caring as Stewards of a New Earth with loving kindness for all relations, including animals, plants, Nature, and rocks, to create a new balance, not exploiting resources, and not exceeding needs, and including all traditions and lineages from and to all directions.

GOALS:

By Participating in this course students are expected to:

  • To learn about multidimensional trauma and transformation & the role of psychedelics.
  • To support the person’s innate capacity to restore the mind-body-spirit-balance and eventually wholeness, including such dimensions as interpersonal relationships and relationships with nature, the cosmos, culture, and the community.
  • To evoke processes of awakening the divine inside and outside of us. Nature, art and science, technology, and spirituality are united in the search for new evolutionary pathways for humanity—by Birthing an Ancient Future as Stewards of a New Earth.
  • To integrate an integral worldview and sacred science that intertwines the rational knowledge and the intuitive understanding of spiritual experience as an inclusive paradigm bridging ancient wisdom and modern (psychedelic) science.

Regina U. Hess, Ph.D. (Netherlands/Portugal), is a clinical psychologist from Germany and holds a joint Ph.D. in transpersonal psychology (USA/UK). Regina is the visionary founder/director of Birthing an Ancient Future  – Multidisciplinary Psychedelic Council,bridging ancient wisdom traditions and modern psychedelic science, a global initiative offering events, retreats, and different educational programs ‘Stewards of a New Earth.’Regina is a faculty at international universities such as the Alef Trust, UK, and transpersonal educational institutes and is an independent researcher.
