WORKING MIRACLES: INTEGRATING MINDFULNESS AND PSYCHEDELICS

This course is an experiential and theoretical journey which aspires to create a deep synthesis between mindfulness and compassion practices and psychedelic states.

The course will be grounded in personal practice and will present students with theories, philosophies and practices for this challenging integration. An emphasis will be placed on critical thinking and dialogical approaches.

Students will gain a basic understanding of the leading mindfulness-based approaches which are being used in psychedelic research today, and potential shared mechanisms of recovery and growth which we can cultivate as individuals and as a society.

In this course students will get an introduction of 6 online modules, which can be additionally complemented with a residential workshop in Spain.

Effects of psychedelics and mindfulness-based practices on our perception of self and offer alternative ways to look at this multi-facets phenomenon.

FACILITATOR

Dr. Galia Tanay

Dr. Galia Tanay is a student of various ancient ways and a teacher on the path of freedom. Galia spent many years in deep traditional Buddhist practice and had been teaching intensive meditation retreats for the past decade. Galia is a certified Yoga teacher who teaches Yoga therapy and emphasizes the body in all awareness practices. For the past 14 years, Galia had been working intensively with psychedelics, mainly Ayahuasca and psilocybin mushrooms, deepening and learning personally as well as accompanying others on these journeys. She holds a PhD in Psychology and for many years had worked with suffering individuals as well as taught and trained therapists in academic and non-academic programs. Galia is a vocal artist and a writer who believes that freedom is a form of art and creativity is necessary for our coming home to our being.

The online course starts on February 16, 2023. The face-to-face course starts on April 14, 2023.
The course will be in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish.

The duration of the course is two and a half months.

The course materials will be available forever. This includes the episodes and the transcript of the content.

We recommend that you dedicate one hour per day per week to study in depth the didactic material provided by the teacher.

Yes, they are two different instances but only if you take the online course you will have access to apply for the in-person retreat.
