Training in Grofian Psychedelic Therapy

The Training in Psychedelic Therapy given by the BMed Global and the Grof® Legacy Training, is a professional training program made up of 620 teaching hours over three face-to-face modules, three online modules, and 3 experiential intensive ones. The certificate obtained guarantees a high level of theoretical / experiential training for professionals working in therapeutic areas, including mental health, psychiatry, coaching and social work.

Over three years (2024-2027), students will receive an in-depth education on the essentials of Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, as well as Grofian Transpersonal Psychology and Holotropic Therapy. The training program has been reviewed and approved by Stanislav Grof in person, and will be delivered in collaboration with Grof® Legacy Training, the organization inheriting Grof's extensive experience, who has conducted more than 4,000 individual psychedelic therapy sessions since 1954, and facilitated more than 70,000 participants in holotropic sessions since 1974.

"Towards a Psychology and Psychiatry of the Future"

Psychedelic Assisted Therapy is called to be the great revolution in mental health in the immediate future. Classical psychiatry has barely renewed its catalog of tools to face the mental health crisis that afflicts the world. Psychedelic medicines have their roots in centuries of ancestral knowledge of indigenous peoples, supported by the most modern clinical and neuroscience research

The Grofian Psychedelic Therapy Training is aimed at psychiatrists, psychologists, .

Program Format

A mixed model: Residential and Online

The Grofian Psychedelic Therapy Training curriculum consists of a total of 620 hours of instruction. It combines 3 online modules of five weeks each, 3 residential modules of 7 days each, which include 4 holotropic sessions, two with Grof® breathwork, and two with holotropic states and 3 sessions (1 per year) of individual psychedelic therapy, accompanied by 2 therapists. In addition, the program includes 10 individual consultations with the trainers, and 6 sessions of holotropic external (Grof® breathwork). After being certified, it is possible to validate a large part towards certification in Holotropic Breathing.

'Holotropic' is the term coined by Stanislav Grof to define altered states of consciousness. These states can be reached through holotropic respiration or through psychedelic substances. BMed's Grofian Therapy Training program includes three experiential intensives, one a year, of 6 days and 5 nights. In a privileged environment in the nature, students will have the opportunity to experiment with holotropic states in a controlled context and with a clear didactic and therapeutic orientation.

Within each module you will enjoy and become part of an international holotropic community in a seven day residential context. We will meet for deep experiential and theoretical learning, guided by experts and pioneers from the transpersonal and psychedelic field. Each module includes four holotropic sessions, 2 with Grof® Breathwork and 2 with holotropic states.

The online modules last 5 weeks and one day. Once a week the platform will open that week's class, which consists of videos, reading material, review questions and optional in-depth material. All this material can be seen at the time and day that is most comfortable for you.

During 6 Mondays, at 20:00 hrs (Barcelona time zone), an online / ondirect meeting will be held, to discuss and deepen the material reviewed that week. The sessions will last two hours, the first hour to ask questions to the teachers, and the second to carry out experiential exercises and work on the person of the therapist.

You will have two support groups by WhatsApp, one to ask the teachers theoretical questions and the other to share and interact with the other participants

They have a duration of 6 days and 5 nights. Each module includes classes, exercises to work the therapist's person, two holotropic sessions in the role of caregiver, and two holotropic sessions to live the experience. Sessions will be with Grof® Breathwork and "holotropic" experiences.

Accommodation, food and work materials are included in the price of the program.

The experiential intensives have a duration of 5 days and 4 nights. Each participant will be assigned to a group: A, B, C. (see calendar dates). Participants will have an individual "holotropic" psychotherapy experience, and will co-facilitate an individual session in a therapeutic context. There will also be various integration activities.

Accommodation, food and work materials are included in the price of the program.

During the three years, a total of 10 individual consultations should be carried out with their facilitators. These can be done in person or online. Each consultation lasts 1 hour.

During the three years of training, between the modules, there will be study groups and online group activities to delve into different content. Para más información sobre esta formación escríbenos a info@bmedglobal.com
